THE MUSEUM

We believe Pizza Brain’s Museum of Pizza Culture to be the world’s first pizza museum dedicated to celebrating pizza. Opened in September 2012, MOPC’s collection is housed in Pizza Brain’s pizzeria and chronicles pizza’s explosive rise in popularity in the United States and the world. Items dating from the early 1940’s to present day are curated from the broader collection and displayed to give an overview of pizza’s rise from obscurity to ubiquity. The installation is inspired by theMuseum of Jurassic Technology in Los Angeles, CA, with many collection items occupying hidden or not-so-readily-apparent spaces throughout the Pizza Brain restaurant.
